Welcome to Netmender Counseling.  In 2001 my wife and I took a trip to the country where she was raised, Greece.  As we watched the fishermen sit near their boats, with the beautiful Aegean Sea as their backdrop, I was struck by the time and energy they were spending mending their nets.  I recalled the parable that Jesus spoke in Matthew 13:47-48.   He described the Kingdom of Heaven as a net, thrown into the water to catch fish of every kind.  Until that day, standing on the Greek shoreline, I had never considered the time and care it took to keep the nets clean, mended and ready for use.  I realized that my passion for counseling was much like the fisherman who sat patiently on the shore, mending the nets that had been tattered and battered by use.  It was that day that the name, Netmender Counseling, was born.
